Teaching

Our society emphasizes efficiency, speed and immediate results. It’s easy to forget how important it is for us to take the time that we need to understand, to appreciate and to enjoy things fully. The outcome that we experience when we take the time that each one of us needs to value something, in this case music, is ultimately more fulfilling and rewarding.

By learning music and how to play a musical instrument we develop many different skills: focus, coordination, dedication, timing, rhythm, training, listening, playing with other people, performing and dealing with nerves, etc. etc.

All these aspects are beneficial, not only to appreciate and understand music better, but to help us in our development as human beings.

Eva has been teaching music for more than fifteen years. In Eva’s teaching, she emphasizes patience and practice and supports her students to great achievements that may take time. She has taught people of all ages from beginners to advanced level. She is experienced teaching individual as well as groups lessons and prepares students to take grade exams if they would like to. She can also teach period instruments such as baroque, classical and romantic flutes.

She is currently teaching in North London Primary and Secondary Schools and at Colourstrings music school, in Muswell Hill.
